The program gives you the possibility to type in the text directly into the primary panel and insert various symbols for drawing attention upon important events, unconfirmed information, unsuccessful or successful results, as well as rating or preferences. What’s more, you are allowed to insert tables and images (BMP, ICO, CUR, EMF, JPEG, PNG, GIF, and TIFF file format), and embed comments for describing events or adding notes in the text. Additionally, the program allows you to attach photos, text messages, and tables in the comment box. Other notable characteristics worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to print the information, set up the page parameters in terms of size, orientation, and margins, undo or redo your actions, and perform basic editing operations (cut, copy, paste, delete). Last but not least, you can make the tool run at Windows startup, find and replace words, as well as use hotkeys for a better control over the entire process. During our testing we have noticed that FreeText carries out a task quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. It doesn’t stress up the CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is not affected. All in all, FreeText offers a simple yet efficient software solution for helping you create notes on the go. Thanks to its intuitive layout, it is suitable for beginners and professionals alike.
